There are already around 300 people involved in the project and hundreds of further jobs will created over the construction phase. These jobs will mainly be with our construction contractors and their sub-contractors.
Some roles will require specialist skills which may have to be found from outside the immediate area, but we are working with our contractors to make sure that opportunities are available to local people. We are providing funding to the local councils to support and prepare people in the area for these jobs.

The Company held two jobs fairs in Skinningrove and Whitby in June 2018, with local people securing roles and others being invited to interviews with construction contractors as a result.
The events were attended by 700 people and were an opportunity for individuals who live in North Yorkshire and Redcar and Cleveland to find out more about the roles that are being created during the construction phase of the Company's polyhalite poject. Look out for more details of upcoming events.
