Funding enhancements

As part of our planning permissions for the Project we provide significant funding to North York Moors National Park Authority, North Yorkshire County Council and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. Our payments have already reached over £5 million.

Our contributions support projects that safeguard and enhance the natural environmental, improve public footpaths, restore historic monuments, and include a 7,000 hectare woodland creation scheme.

In addition to environmental projects, we are funding programmes to increase skills and aspirations, promote tourism and improve local rail services. To find out more see the map and table below.
